Me Open ............................................................ Desiree Burch is a monologuist, comedian, writer, and actress as well as being a New York NeoFuturist and host/co-curator of the Smut Reading and Performance series at Galapagos. She has performed at the the Marquee, Manhattan Theatre Source, the Tank, CenterStage NY, P.S. 122, in Dixon Place's HOT! Festival, Seattle's Mae West Fest and in the New York International Fringe Festival, as well as at major comedy clubs throughout New York City. She has worked with Gorilla Rep, the Playwrights Theater of New York, Moving Theater, Afrikan Women's Repertory, Columbia University School of Theater, NYU's E.T.W. and the 24-Hour Plays. Michael Cyril Creighton is an actor/writer/comedian. His solo show The Hermitage of an Exiled Chain Smoker was seen in the 2003 NY International Fringe Festival and later extended at the Arthur Seelan Theater. Other Fringe Credits include Grandmotherfucker & The Seducers and The Burden of Sunflowers. Michael was seen as The Bellhop in George Street Playhouse's production of Lend Me A Tenor, as well as numerous other plays. Film work includes the independent feature Fake ID as well as the shorts Happy Days and Cotton Candy (finalist for the 2005 Kurosawa Short Film Competition). He is a former member of the NY Neo-Futurists and recipient of The Carol Burnett Award for Distinction in The Performing Arts. Kyle Jarrow penned the Off- and Off-Off-Broadway shows A Very Merry Unauthorized Children's Scientology Pageant (2004 OBIE Award), Gorilla Man (P.S. 122 2005 season, soon to be published by Samuel French), Armless (Best of the NY Fringe Festival 2004), and President Harding is a Rock Star among others. His work has been performed at The John Houseman Theater, P.S. 122, HERE Art Space, The Ohio Theater, The Hangar Theater, Boston Theatre Works, and Dad's Garage in Atlanta among others. The New York Times calls Kyle "New York's hipster playwright," The LA Times calls him "an iconoclast," and The Village Voice calls him "a playwright both droll and humane." Kyle is also a member of the glam rock band The Fabulous Entourage (www.fabulousentourage.com), which has been called a "quintet of youthful punk-popsters hell-bent on bringing theatrics back to rock and roll" by The New Yorker.Brian Mullin is an award-winning writer/director whose work has been presented by the Lincoln Center Directors Lab, Lynx Ensemble Theater, the National Student Drama Festival of Great Britain, and the Oxford University New Writing Festival. He works extensively with the All Stars Project's Youth Onstage! division, where he directs the New Voices reading series and is a founding faculty member of the Community Performance School. |
