Acclaimed Neo-soprano Nicole Renaud makes her Galapagos Art Space debut with Couleurs - a love story seen through colors, where each song is a color.
The "captivating Parisian songbird" (TONY) with an "ethereal soprano voice" (NYT) will perform songs off her new album "Couleurs.” Her multimedia concert will involve projections of colors and translations onto a transparent screen above the stage and the playing of her new one-of-a-kind lincordian: a transparent luminous accordion designed by British internationally renown artist engineer Paul Etienne Lincoln.

Cedar City Falls
written by Liz Tuccillo (author of the best selling book He’s Just Not That Into You: The No Excuses Truth To Understanding Guys) with Sex and the City writers: Julie Rottenberg, Elisa Zuritsky & Cindy Chupack.
CEDAR CITY FALLS tells the story of a small peaceful town filled with hard-working, God-fearing folk who due to a series of unfortunate incidents and petty squabbles, gets plunged into full-scale civil war. It is a parable (and parody) of conflict escalation, war, activism, peace and redemption.
Each week the show will feature a different celebrity guest narrator including John Slattery and Talia Balsam (MAD MEN), Grant Shaud (MURPHY BROWN) and Jesse L. Martin (LAW AND ORDER, THE PHILANTHROPIST).
**All of the box office proceeds will go to a different human rights charity every week including Amnesty International, Doctors Without Borders and the Center for Constitutional Rights.

new instrumental music + renaissance music arranged for string quartet and trombone quartet + good music all around.
MIVOS quartet (top pic) is devoted to performing contemporary music. It was founded in 2008 by violinists Olivia DePrato and Joshua Modney, violist Victor Lowrie, and cellist Isabel Castellvi. They met while pursuing a master’s degree at Manhattan School of Music in the Contemporary Performance Program. Since their inception they have performed and premiered works by both young and established composers including Anna Clyne, Juan Calderon, and Kirsten Broberg. They have performed at venues such as The Stone, Issue Project Room, the Bretch Forum and for the American Music Center at the Chelsea Museum. Recently they have collaborated with clarinetist Ned Rothenberg for a performance of his quintet for clarinet and string quartet, which they will be recording on Tzadik records in the fall of 2009.
You Can Just Park Right Here is a trio active in the New York City area with Greg Chudzik on bass, Matt Donello on percussion, and Joshua Modney on violin. The ensemble draws on the diverse experience of its members, from contemporary classical to jazz and rock, commissioning new works for their unique instrumentation. YCJPRH has performed at venues in New York including The Tank, Frederick Loewe Theatre at NYU and Miller Recital Hall at Manhattan School of Music.
The Guidonian Hand (bottom pic): Mark Broschinsky, William Lang, James Rogers, Sebastian Vera
Hailed by the New York Times for their "expertly played" performances with "meaty lower brass textures", the Guidonian Hand Trombone Quartet is New York City's leading experimental trombone collective. They have performed at the Lincoln Center Chamber Society as well as venues including Le Poisson Rouge, The Stone, Manhattan School of Music, New York University and the Gershwin Hotel's New Music series. This adventurous ensemble collaborates frequently with current composers to perform, study and expand repertoire for low brass. In addition to modern literature, the Guidonian Hand gives a fresh voice to the standard repertoire as well as the latest scholarly editions of Renaissance works. James Bergin of the Boston Microtonal Society is currently finishing a five-movement work for the group and the quartet is also looking forward to premiering works by J Mark Stambaugh at the Manhattan School of Music Faculty Composers Concert this November.
