Amy Miles with Chris Maxwell

BUY TICKETS HERE!

Amy Miles is a New York based singer, songwriter and actress. Born in Conway, Arkansas, Miles moved to New York City right after high school in a pick-up truck. Abandoning her training in classical music which her parents - both classical musicians - had hoped that she would pursue, Amy began acting, recording pop music, and producing new projects in the big city.

As a solo musician Amy Miles has recorded three records "Dirty Stay Out," featuring the single "Kill To Know" with a video directed by The State's David Wain, and an appearance by Saturday Night Live's Amy Poehler. The roller skating themed video was a Youtube sensation. Amy's second record "Noble Hatch," garnered critical acclaim including The Washington Post's praise of her song writings as both "cutting and smart," and providing her with a featured appearance performing on the Jimmy Kimmel show. Amy has toured with They Might Be Giants and opened for Robyn Hitchcock. Her third record "King of Girls" was produced by Craig Wedren of Shudder To Think, and is expected to be released later this year.

Amy Miles has been involved heavily in television as both a musician and actor. She created and produced the hit musical theater show "Soundtracks Live," which ran many sold out shows at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, NYC before being developed as a television pilot for VH-1. The pilot starred Tina Fey, Will Arnett, Michael Ian Black and Paul Rudd. Amy led the house band which featured Fred Armisen on drums, and wrote the theme to the show. This lead her to write themes for other television shows including Nickelodeon's "Mighty B," Mr. T's reality show "I Pity the Fool", and Amy Poehler's web based series "Smart Girls at the Party", in which Miles is also regular cast member performing original music in each episode. Recently, Amy has contributed the theme song and other original songs for "7th Floor West", Late Night with Jimmy Fallon's hit reality show, as well as starring in and doing the music for a musical episode of the hit web show Wainy Days entitled "Rochelle."

But the biggest television outlet to date for Amy Miles' unique brand of sassy personality and musical talent is playing the role of "Amy" in the PBS children's series "Lomax the Hound of Music," where she brings all of her skills together acting, singing and playing with puppets. "Lomax the Hound of Music" is airing in most of the country and you can check your local listings at pbskids.org/lomax.

Chris Maxwell is one half of the duo, Elegant Too. Maxwell is a guitarist from Little Rock, Arkansas, and played in various bands throughout high school. After graduating from high school in the early 80s, Chris fronted a band called Jubilee Dive. In the mid-80s the members of Jubilee Dive went their various ways, and Chris formed a band called The Gunbunnies, who put out a sole 1990 album, Paw Paw Patch. After the demise of that band, Maxwell joined Erik Sanko to form Skeleton Key, who toured with They Might Be Giants in 1995, but he left the band a few years later.

In 1998, he and Phil Hernandez started playing songs as the Elegant Too, and the duo have come to find success in remixing and producing various music projects.
