MCC
(Finally) Has His Way (With Women)
Michael
Cyril Creighton spent his childhood wearing bow ties,
drinking pickle juice and memorizing all of Madeline Kahn's
films line by line. Some people said, "Michael is
a strange child." Time has passed and MCC decided
to ditch the bow ties, but he'll always have a fondness
of funny women. On this night of comedy, MCC will be joined
by some of his favorite funny femmes: Becky & Noelle,
Desiree Burch, Pat Candaras, Nancy Giles, Rachael Parenta,
Jennie Smith, and Becky Yamamoto as "Rosie Mc Davis."
The
proceeds from this evening will be donated to The Emerson
College Nicole M. duFresne Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Andy Mann: Street Tapes and Cable Access
Presented by Aurora Picture
Show
From
his Portapak-captured video verité of 1960s and
70s New York to moments of cable access brilliance in
Houston, Texas, Andy Mann (1949-2001) left behind a rich
videotape legacy. In honor of Mann on what would have
been his 56th birthday, we invite you to celebrate one
of early video's most innovative and resourceful artists
through a screening of rarely seen works including recently
transferred open reel 1/2 inch tapes from the early 1970s.
"There
is no question that Andy Mann was one of the seminal figures
in the early video scene, in particular for his remarkable
'street tapes' which continued and amplified a tradition
in film history marked by such works as Helen Leavitts
In the Street." -Gene Youngblood, author,
