El Radio Fantastique + A Particularly Vicious Rumor
with Jack Martin (of Kid Congo Powers...) & friends

Hailing from New Orleans, El Radio Fantastique and A Particularly Vicious Rumor share more than musicians.

El Radio Fantastique is a seven-piece symphonette. “Dressed like a gang of Victorian rag dolls and dissolute French sailors, El Radio Fantastique weaves wistful melodies with their miniature symphony,” says the New Orleans Gambit Weekly. The lineup includes upright bass, drums, violin, cello, bass clarinet, clarinet, piano, guitar and theremin...and everyone sings and plays percussion.

A Particularly Vicious Rumor has been described as “music to drown children by.” But their sound is far from hopeless. This 9th Ward duo plays piano and drums exclusively. Miss O’s rich voice and strong left hand provide a hypnotic, percussive compliment to Kid Twist’s (drummer for ERF as well) melodic, danceable rhythms. Their lyrics explore both the loss of intimacy and the desire for movement and change.

PP Snatch is channeled by adorable comedian and improviser Becky Yamamoto. A certifiably insane spectacle is promised to all.

Written, composed, costumed and performed by Becky Yamamoto
Directed and dramaturged by Sarah Gancher
Video by Sarah Reynolds
Special guest appearances by Chiara DeLuca, Sasha Cucciniello, Garth Silberstein, Tony Carnevale, J.B. Rote, and more!

THE HAZZARDS MAKE-OUT PARTY
with Low Water and
Ben Lerman from the Isotoners

Galapagos's favorite ukele rockers present their monthly program of music and comedy.

This month:

"Low Water has relocated to the Big Apple, although the move makes sense in a way. Life in San Francisco can be a little too nice, and guitarist/singer John Leitera always has seemed inspired most in the face of adversity. Leitera comes on like the bastard son of Paul Westerberg and Joe Pernice. His pouting, heart-on-sleeve songs are elevated above your average Emo rock by his melodic and tasteful guitar playing, subtle humor, and masterful and clever wordplay. " -Michael Burbo, The Davis Enterprise
