It's all about the night for a med student, a teenage runaway, a lawyer, a drag queen, a high school basketball star, a drug dealer, and a teacher as they all cross paths in the Ecstasy-riddled Los Angeles underground party scene. The film is an entertaining roller coaster-like experience that captures "the giddy highs and crushing lows" (The New York Times) of this unique drug phenomenon. With a documentary-like style, ROLLING exposes the delicate balance of these users' relationships and responsibilities as they chase its dangerous drug-induced euphoria known as ROLLING!

Five design icons will recreate actual presentations that won work or solved problems, demonstrating skills in PowerPoint, patter, and bravura. Short descriptions of the original RFP/Design Briefs will be presented so that we’ll know what the presenters received before creating their solutions.

Participants include: Jayne Cortez, Gary Giddins, Bill Zavatsky, and special guests. Moderated by composer Carman Moore.
Combining sounds of popular music with those of the street and the bayous, jazz changed not only music, but other art forms which borrowed its phrasing, rhythm, structure and aesthetics. Four American writers, including legendary jazz critic Gary Giddins, American poet Bill Zavatsky, and guests explore the birth and life so far of jazz and how it relates to the written word. And, of course, there will be musical accompaniment by the Diane Moser Quintet.
