LUCIBEL CRATER with BLACK CANARY present
Vascular Electronics for Your Habit Forming Recess
Lucibel Crater presents 2 immersive hours of Ambient Fast Breaks and IDM/Downtempo with laptop duo Black Canary.
Fronted by cellist/vocalist Leah Coloff, the group constructs a living collage of textures, harasses it with head-bopping grooves, then molds them into a dancing lullaby. "Her voice is gorgeous, and she sings her decidedly off-beat songs with a sort of dark abandon. She left me slack-jawed and dizzy."
Black Canary is an experimental analogue / electronical music duo bent
on sampling, resampling, remixing, lo-fi recording, and hi-fi mixing.
Behind the smoke induced haze, drummers Dave Hill Jr. (aka brainboxing)
and Shawn Pelton (credits from Bob Dylan to The X-ecutioners) dial in
drum machines and sampling apparatus.
With live visuals courtesy of Giles Hendrix.
