Smut presents Erotic Horror stories
by Polly Frost

Hosted by the fabulous Regi C.
Also featuring Poingly and Dan Fishback

All through March, Smut (Galapagos's series of erotic readings and performance) will be presenting POLLY FROST with special guests.

Dirty, funny -- and sometimes scary -- stories by Polly Frost read by wonderful actors. Polly just finished writing an erotic novel for the Vivid porn company, an assignment she loved. However, she is old enough
to remember the days when porn stars had pubic hair, so she had to learn how to describe every kind of wax job available. She was recently profiled in the Pulp Fiction issue of Nerve, which described her stories
as "Michael Crichton on Ecstasy."

TOM ROSSI
featuring the Poon Dancers
with Christina Courtin
music

Tom Rossi's auspicious debut, "Salma Har" is a global mosaic, a border-dissolving symphony of tones and beats and harmonies from Africa and the Middle East to South America and the Brooklyn basement where it was recorded. This is music for, as that other Brooklyn poet Walt Whitman once put it, "respiration and inspiration, the beating of my heart." In January 2005, Tom was featured and interviewed on BBC's "The World" program for National Public Radio.

"Listen closely; Tom Rossi's 'Salma Har' contains multitudes."
- Jeff Gordinier (Details, Esquire, Entertainment Weekly)

"Tom Rossi's music creates the ideal atmosphere, African and Indian
drumming driving a Tom Waits-style carnival" -The Village Voice

The Songs of Robert

A new verse play with live music written by playwright John Crutchfield. Set in Western North Carolina, the play tells the story of a young high school boy in love for the first time. By turns poignant and funny, realistic and expressionistic, the play features original poetry, songs, and a dozen characters all performed by two actors, John Crutchfield and Julia Horn. According to The Asheville Citizen Times, the play evokes "images ranging from Willie Nelson to James Joyce."

The Hazzards Make-Out Party

A popular monthly event filled with music, comedy, and general raucousness. Hosted by The Hazzards, New York's coolest ukelele band.

This week, with Phoebe Kreutz + The Handsome Public

Phoebe Kreutz is a boozy floozy with a heart of gold. She sings silly songs about the things she likes best: boys and bars and vikings and tacos. Growing up in New York's East Village, Phoebe learned a lot about all these things. She also learned a lot about rhyming from Dr. Seuss and the joys of thinly-veiled social commentary from "He-Man" and "The Smurfs". You can also see her in the rad bands: Urban Barnyard and The Phyllis Newman Health Initiative Dancers .http://www.phoebekreutz.com

The Handsome Public is: Dr. Rosen Rosen: Vocals, Keyboards, Drums; Vickers Bastard Gringo: Vocals, Guitar. Their formula is simple: 2 crooning mics, breathtaking beats, & a presence reminiscent of Bobby Vinton & Rick James. They are a man band. http://www.thehandsomepublic.com

Red Jacket + The Angelic Bombs + Jamie Panzer & Exercising Demons

"I have not seen a band, local or otherwise, that rocks as hard and looks as good as The Angelic Bombs. They just ripped up the stage and got the crowd rockin' and screaming for more." - Bob McKee, Local Music Now http://www.theangelicbombs.com

Red Jacket is a Brooklyn-based power trio creating an alt-prog-folk-punk explosion! "Redjacket have been spreading a unique sound throughout the New York underground. An interesting blend of alternative, guitar rock, and pure punk aggression has led to a very distinct calling card for the band." -The Aquarian http://www.redjacketmusic.com

Jamie Panzer & exercising demons play country tainted rock and roll, folksploitation, cosmic soul, and beatnik pop. http://www.ismism.net/exercisingdemons
