Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Fundraiser

For over half a century, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has funded research into a cure, raised awareness and provided vital patients services for victims of blood cancers.

Last winter, Rebecca Lopez-Howes and friends took on the challenge of training for the NYC Triathlon with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's ‘Team in Training’.   Now they’re gearing up for 2009!

Please join us to help raise money for these super-duper folks!

~A Galapagos Art Space Resident Artist!~

PUNCH puppet slam is back in 2009 with a spectacular line-up of weird, bizarre and potentially scary acts!

DRAMA OF WORKS / EXPLODING PUPPET PRODUCTIONS present the world premiere of "Cluckapella" - witness a farmer's unorthodox egg-producing tactics involving fifties doo-wop and his most talented chickens...

CAROLE SIMMS D'AGOSTINO whips out a peacock marionette that can really strut its stuff...

SERRA HIRSCH brings out a piece she created at Charleville called "Grandpa Jack" - a hilarious old cod with a few tricks up his sleeve...

MOOKY CORNISH and XSTINE COOK have sent along their amazingly hilarious and gorey puppet video "Dead Boyfriends" - that damn Pandora, when will she ever learn...

NOAH APPLE presents an amazing cranky shadow piece he traveled around Spain and Holland with. Don't let the Europeans have all the fun!

PLUS much, much more!!!

Panda Transport & Edison Woods

plus Br00t Rosé

French-American duet, Panda Transport (top image) uses toys, theremins and sibling rivalry to create ameri-pean style songs. Come, and find out what exactly that means. We’re already in love.

Edison Woods (bottom image) A brilliant mélange of eerie tones mixed with upbeat percussion and whimsical strings.  The ensemble - which includes cello, reeds, guitar, piano, bass, drums and honey sweet, haunting vocals - has been traveling the stages from New York to Spain since 2000.  We love Edison Woods. You should see them.

What do you get when you combine a heavy metal drummer and a classical percussionist? Br00t Rosé. They're as charming as a bottle of champagne with just a hint of brootal. Their performance is bubbly… it's sparkling… it's brootal. It's Br00t Rosé.
