demi-gods, THE IXION BURLESQUE SHOW features some of
New York's most talented performers, including burlesque
legends DIRTY MARTINI and THE WORLD FAMOUS BOB, pianist
Albert Garzon, vocalists Lex Grey and Cara Dustmann,
and drummer Mark Kirby.
Epic
narrator Matthew Barnes takes you back to the 1920's
and tassle-twirlers Ruby Valentine, Honey Birdette,
Creme Brulee, Springcentric, Molly Crabapple, Ambrosia
Rose and Trixie Lu seduce you by way of Greek mythology.
IXION is a new burlesque company with its roots solidly
planted in the past. It borrows its name and concept
from a show that opened in 1868 in New York and was
the first burlesque show to tour America.
SMUT
is
a provocative new weekly series that presents explicit
art side by side with intellectual discourse.

CURTIS
ELLER New York City's angriest
yodelling banjo player. He started his show business career
as a juggler and acrobat, but has since turned to the
banjo. Mr. Eller and his band "The American Circus"
have performed at funerals, horse races, burlesque shows
and vaudeville revues. His biggest musical influences
are Buster Keaton, Stephen Foster and Abraham Lincoln.
Yodelling and some strong language can be expected. "Curtis
Eller banged out angular, disjointed cemetery polkas,
spat out rust-belt beat poetry and tangoed til his fingers
were sore. His audience still didn't know what to make
of him. But now they were listening." -

SXIP
SHIREY has performed with the
Daredevil Opera Company at The Sydney Opera House and
The Adelaide Festival in Australia, The Kennedy Center
in Washington D.C, The Edinburgh Festival in Scotland
and at The New Victory Theater on Broadway with Anti-Gravity's
Crash Test Dummies. His Romanian-gypsy-tango-klezmer-hip-hop-punk
quintet The Luminescent Orchestrii features three violins,
a big Mexican bass and resophonic guitar and toured the
east coast this summer. Sxip's Solo work has been performed
at HERE in NYC, The Adelaide Fringe Festival in Australia
and at underground parties in NYC. "Sxip has the
incredible ability to turn the minds of his audience almost
entirely inside out." -Nonsense

Miss Exotic World 2004, The International
Burlesque Sensation MISS DIRTY MARTINI is one of
the most recognized names in new burlesque. In 1997, she
traveled to Sarajevo to perform her show-stopping fan
dance to a shell-shocked public shortly after the peace
accord was signed and the Serbian siege had ended. In
her native Manhattan, she has been presented in venues
as diverse as Carnegie Hall to infamous gay leather bars
The Lure and The Eagle. She is a featured performer at
the VaVaVoom Room in its successful run at Fez and proudly
performs every summer in Coney Island.

triggered by collective movement, and in trying to read
the minds of actors who aren't quite sure what's next."
