K-Salaam & Beatnick recently landed a 3-album compilation deal with VP Records/Universal. The first project, "Whose World Is This?" a concept album revolving around themes of revolution and upliftment, is officially dropping everywhere on July 29th. The album features Hip-Hop Stars: Talib Kweli, Dead Prez, Young Buck, Trey Songz, Kardinal Offishall, Papoose, Saigon, Outlawz, as well as Reggae legends: Buju Banton, Sizzla, Luciano, Capleton, & more.
The event, titled "Whose World Is This vol. 1" will feature an exclusive set from legendary hip-hop group Dead Prez. Dead Prez will be performing some of their classic songs, as well as the song "Fallen Soldierz" (Produced by Beatnick & K-Salaam,) off of K-Salaam & Beatnick's new album. Reggae icons Massive B will also be in the building, spinning the best of dancehall & reggae as well as playing songs produced by Beatnick & K-Salaam from some of the biggest Reggae artists in the game (Damian Marley, Collie Buddz, Buju Banton, Sizzla, Luciano, Capleton and more...)
Holding it down on the ones and two's for the remainder of the evening will be mixtape innovator J.Period (MTV's top 5 DJ), along with our very own DJ K-Salaam.
+ the A-Alikes (RBG), Blitz the Ambassador, & Jahdan will all be in the building, performing music over K-Salaam & Beatnick's production.
