Me You Us Them 8:30 pm
Bezoar 9:30 pm
Viva Nada 10:30 pm
Ohio Ballet 11:30 pm

Ohio Ballet (top): From the same humble cadre that offered TV on the Radio and Grizzly Bear, the all-female quintet Ohio Ballet is anatomically ensorcelling and dazzling in execution. “It’s a somber skeleton beneath Pollyannaish flesh,” says longtime fan and award winning author Ben Landers. Soft. Inspired. Irresistible. Missing an Ohio Ballet performance is like missing a chance to fuck your clone. www.myspace.com/ohioballet

Viva Nada (bottom): Two drumsets. Two guitars. Two basses. Two synths. Five phrase samplers. Three musicians. Viva Nada sometimes makes driving, fast-paced music similar in sound to the Boredoms and Dance Disaster Movement, yet there are also those frenetic songs under 2 minutes, extremely long, quiet improvisations and cryptic lyrics that may leave a listener unable to satisfactorily relegate Viva Nada into any one genre. That is not to say that Viva Nada is perfectly eclectic or novel; only that they are successfully operating near the perimeter of the musical arena. The result is worth investigation. www.myspace.com/austinduggan,www.myspace.com/clayfranklin, www.myspace.com/vivanada

Bezoar (left): Bezoar is a three piece, working to destroy the old and to help construct the new face of this generation along with other like minded musicians and artists who are pushed far into the underground. We play to break down barriers created by the big business machine that has devastated what the mainstream knows as artistic expression through music. We play for self-expression. We play out of necessity. We play music. www.myspace.com/bezoarmusic

Me You Us Them: Similar to the guitar-warping tones of the early 90’s groups Polvo, The Pixies and Sonic Youth, Me You Us Them have also carved out a unique and altogether undeniable sound amongst so many sycophants and mirror-checking fawns. One need only listen to their new track “Loving Like Lawyers” to hear that this trio (sometimes duo) is toiling over their music, rather than working on their dance moves. Me You Us Them plays thoughtful, engaging and accessible music.www.myspace.com/myutnyc
