The Royal Wylds
The Royal Wylds feature ex-members of Richard Hell and the Voidoids, Idle, The Nitecaps and MK Ultra. The band’s Babylon EP is available on May 1 at
reeltoreelrecords.com, as well as all major download sites. The EP is the first in a series of EPs the New York City sextet will release in 2007. Genre mashing pop music rooted in finger-style blues, 60’s garage rock, and
Brit-pop against groove beats—The Royal Wylds have drawn comparisons to Tom Waits, Beck, TV on the Radio, and The Clash. The six songs that make up the Babylon EP grab social commentary and elements of all the above and create something new, fresh and immediate.

HIP HOP
"X:144 and SPS constantly take listeners on journeys of self-discovery and attempt to ignite a true passion for hip hop in the souls of music lovers everywhere. As a child of New York where hip hop was born, X:144 found his roots deeply planted within the art of storytelling while SPS saw tiny reflections of his influences like Jam Master Jay, The Colon Brothers and Grand Master Flash burst through the tips of his 16 year old fingers at a local youth center in Berlin, Germany. This energetic duo combines wit, musicianship and old school hip hop values to create balance in a world where the ever expanding unsteadiness of commercial hip hop has infiltrated."
"The two-turntables-and-a-microphone formula gets a desperately needed makeover from this Orlando duo. X, a mile-a-minute MC wading the conscious waters of politics and self-yearning, spits with a controlled combustion. SPS, a successful battle turntablist, expertly contains a cutting sill that could easily turn showy, instead setting a consistent atmosphere of urgent, forboding candidness." -Justin Strout URB Magazine

NEAL MEDLYN'S COMING IN THE AIR TONIGHT
NEAL MEDLYN PUTS ON GENESIS SONGS, FORCES YOU TO SNAP HIS BRA!
Neal Medlyn's Coming In The Air Tonight is an all new full length evening of entertainment over the course of which Neal gets progressively covered in more and more blood.
The end.
Don't you wanna come see it now? Not yet? Well what if I told you that, originally, the name of the show was going to be NEAL MEDLYN: STABBIN MOTHERFUCKERS! LIVE!
I figured that would work. The show features a variety of Phil Collins and Genesis music and is about how Neal is starting to slowly fall apart due to how he's all torn up inside from getting his heart broken into tiny pieces. It is also about how Neal steals a lot of stuff from people. Like their belongings and house wares but also their thoughts and ideas. As if that weren't enough, it features live video, special dedications, live drumming
by Mr. Carmine Covelli and superstar guests to include TKTKTKTKTK
http://nealmedlyn.com
Neal Medlyn is the purveyor of such previous smash hit entertainments as
NEAL MEDLYN'S LIONEL RICHIE OPERA, and KENNY MELLMAN+NEAL MEDLYN=ROBERT KELLY with Kenny Mellman of Kiki and Herb. He is a former Mr. Lower East Side and co-starred with Karen Finley in "George and Martha." His solo work has been presented at the Public Theater, Joe's Pub, Galapagos Art Space (where he had a previous month-long residency in 2006), Ars Nova, and on tour around the country and in Germany. His internet TV show Neal Medlyn's
Land of Make Believe, with Nerve.com, is a cult favorite.

Fuckplays
small-sucking-fucking-blowing-bangin-screwing-humping-illicit-sex-plays
Presented by Working Man's Clothes (winner of 6 NYIT Awards for "To Ninevah") and The Thursday Problem ("Dread Awakening"), Fuckplays is a voyeuristic journey through six playwrights' most private places; a sincere examination of our most basic carnal desires.
From American Apparel ads to Sex and the City, we live in a dream world of constant fucking and endless possibilities. But in a society where explicit sex and pornography have veered ever closer to the mainstream, do we as Americans have a more unrealistic view of sex than ever before? What role does sex really play in your life? How do you perceive it? Do it? Talk about it? Fight about it?... Ultimately, what does sex mean to you? In this new 10 minute play festival 4 of NYC's hottest emerging playwrights combine with 4 of The Lone Star State's most explicit dramatists at Galapagos Art Space's EVOLVE Series every friday in April. Every night 8 short plays will guide patrons through a cross-spectrum of sexuality: sensuality, metaphor, fetishism, fantasy, voyeurism, violence, humor, love and intimacy.

IT'S EASY BEING GREEN
itseasybeinggreennyc.com
Artist/Activist, Matthew Simon, is producing an event to encourage people to switch their electric utility to one created with renewable energy sources. The event will be held on Earth Day
The goal is to get 150 attendees to change their residential electricity to 100% emission free, renewable energy that night. With the participation of Con Edison Solutions, an energy company that offers renewable energy, attendees are encouraged to bring an electric bill so they have their account number on hand and can make the switch right there on site.
The evening also features a line-up of talented local musicians: The Ingenues, The Royal Chains, Nate Farrar, SuSu, Mudville, and DJ crew, I See Love. The beer sponsor for the event is Brooklyn Brewery. Every attendee who brings their electric bill and switches to renewable energy that night will receive a free Brooklyn beer.
"Now more than ever there’s growing awareness of the threat that global warming poses," Simon said. "The problem is: not many people know what they can do to help. This event is an opportunity to do something, and the process is easy and affordable."
