QUOTES:
"Amazing and unlike anything you have ever seen. Unless you have seen
a comedic stream of conscious operatic beat-boxing marvel. Then it's
like that."—Eugene Mirman

"Reggie Watts just blew everyone's minds as usual. Seriously, if you
haven't seen this guy, make it a point to do so."—Aziz Ansari

dust from 1000 yrs
folk jamboree from bloomington indiana.  on tour with new cd, "buzzard".  healing america, one little shit at a time.

"So this is what happens when folk music gets to 1989. Or maybe not. Maybe this isnt folk music at all. Maybe under the lightly picked guitars, matching keyboard
melodies, occasional organ flare, Midwestern gothic
lyrics and layers of tape hiss, this is just plain
old-fashioned indie rock. Kinda ugly looking,
certainly not that well thought out, and definitely
not what is to be expected these days."

JACK
ace-fu recording artists and new york locals.

"As of this minute Jack is the fucking bar. Their
singer wails better than anybody who’s gripped a
microphone since membrane was glued to magnets. They
take simple melodies to hook you in, and then seconds
afterwards they flush them out with vivid breakdowns
and a resounding Ikara Colt level-intensity. A band
like The Strokes can write a good rock riff, but they
never take it where these guys can. That skinny,
choreographed male model can’t drop his voice down and
impersonate the ghosts of Golden Gate Jubilee
Quartette, but Scott Holland can. He can also squeal
like a wounded animal and somehow make words of the
pained noises." - jose fritz, stranded in stereo

The Oklahoma Project!

"What is an Oklahoma Project?" you might
ask yourself.

Well it's one part "Oklahoma!" and one part constructed memory of the father I never met.
Sounds like fun, right? (sure. why not.)
I would love it if you could make it and I would also love feedback after you see the show.(You could give me feedback before the show...but actually feedback AFTER would be much more helpful.)

Becky

Breathe Owl Breathe

Northern Michigan duo featuring multi-instrumentalist marathon-running Micah Middaugh, and Colombian-born alternative cellist instructor Andrea Moreno beals.  Raucous at times, though frequently gently minimalist, when listening to Breathe Owl Breathe, the silence between the notes speaks with as much inflection as the notes themselves.

"At last, some music in the folk tradition that is new and refreshing, something an old music critic like me is always looking to find. The combination of cello with guitar, banjo, and voices is just
about perfect. The all-original tunes are subtle, have real class,
and just a just touch of humor."

NEAL MEDLYN'S COMING IN THE AIR TONIGHT

NEAL MEDLYN PUTS ON GENESIS SONGS, FORCES YOU TO SNAP HIS BRA!

Neal Medlyn's Coming In The Air Tonight is an all new full length evening of entertainment over the course of which Neal gets progressively covered in more and more blood.

The end.

Don't you wanna come see it now? Not yet? Well what if I told you that, originally, the name of the show was going to be NEAL MEDLYN: STABBIN MOTHERFUCKERS! LIVE!

I figured that would work. The show features a variety of Phil Collins and Genesis music and is about how Neal is starting to slowly fall apart due to how he's all torn up inside from getting his heart broken into tiny pieces. It is also about how Neal steals a lot of stuff from people. Like their belongings and house wares but also their thoughts and ideas. As if that weren't enough, it features live video, special dedications, live drumming
by Mr. Carmine Covelli and superstar guests to include TKTKTKTKTK

http://nealmedlyn.com

Neal Medlyn is the purveyor of such previous smash hit entertainments as
NEAL MEDLYN'S LIONEL RICHIE OPERA, and KENNY MELLMAN+NEAL MEDLYN=ROBERT KELLY with Kenny Mellman of Kiki and Herb. He is a former Mr. Lower East Side and co-starred with Karen Finley in "George and Martha." His solo work has been presented at the Public Theater, Joe's Pub, Galapagos Art Space (where he had a previous month-long residency in 2006), Ars Nova, and on tour around the country and in Germany. His internet TV show Neal Medlyn's
Land of Make Believe, with Nerve.com, is a cult favorite.

Fuckplays

small-sucking-fucking-blowing-bangin-screwing-humping-illicit-sex-plays

Presented by Working Man's Clothes (winner of 6 NYIT Awards for "To Ninevah") and The Thursday Problem ("Dread Awakening"), Fuckplays is a voyeuristic journey through six playwrights' most private places; a sincere examination of our most basic carnal desires.

From American Apparel ads to Sex and the City, we live in a dream world of constant fucking and endless possibilities. But in a society where explicit sex and pornography have veered ever closer to the mainstream, do we as Americans have a more unrealistic view of sex than ever before? What role does sex really play in your life? How do you perceive it? Do it? Talk about it? Fight about it?... Ultimately, what does sex mean to you? In this new 10 minute play festival 4 of NYC's hottest emerging playwrights combine with 4 of The Lone Star State's most explicit dramatists at Galapagos Art Space's EVOLVE Series every friday in April. Every night 8 short plays will guide patrons through a cross-spectrum of sexuality: sensuality, metaphor, fetishism, fantasy, voyeurism, violence, humor, love and intimacy.

Rockstar Energy Drink.

MultiHop is an artistic movement which serves a middle ground between Commercial and Underground Hip Hop culture throughout the NYC club scene.

'MultiHop' parties was created to provide a refreshing and innovative approach to Hip Hop and introduces a hot new mix of interactive elements to the Hip Hop club scene: hairbraiding and nail design, digital video producers, body painters, and a live art auction of exhibited graffiti works throughout the nights club scene.

'Multihop' speaks volume to the masses and reinforces elements of Hip Hop which have been forgotten, overshadowed, or simply dismissed by the popularization and commercialization of Rap music: Beatbox, Breakdancing, Graffiti, Djing /, and the Education / Business (the most important).

'MultiHop' events generally reach an expected
attendance of 700 people or more throughout the night.

SidLocks, a multimedia producer, established 'MultiHop' in 2006
with plans to take the event throughout NYC, around the country, and
across the globe.

"The DC Voting Rights Tour 2007 is a
generous helping of DC bands seeking DC voting rights. Mixing grassroots with indie rock, the tour hopes to mobilize national support for a great cause: attaining voting rights for the 580,000 citizens of the nation's capital. All bands have been certified rock-ready and Grammy-free, a spectrum of original art sounds and sonic flavors to please the choosy concert goer. As the showdown heats up in Washington, Indie Roots will be rocking the nation to show that America cares."

Technicolor Radio Show featuring Dave Tronzo

This night of improvisational music and art features a double bill with J.A. Granelli's Small Wonder and Technicolor Radio Show with Dave Tronzo. Improvising visual artist David Cunningham will be painting to the band's performances.

"Tronzo is some kind of mad scientist, having spliced together two completely disparate idioms-slide guitar and bebop jazz. On a bad night, he sounds like Duane Allman grafted onto Charlie Parker. On a good night, he's like nothing you've ever heard before." - New Yorker Magazine

" This is just so perverse, rambunctious and clever that it just gets better with each listen." - Tad Hendrickson, CMJ New Music Report
