An exciting night of rock
and roll featuring:
10pm--Craig Chesler--An inventive singer-songwriter whose material has been compared to Elvis Costello,
Prince and others (Blacksmith Records).
11pm--Aaron Griffin (feat. Josh Loar)--Rock and roll like it should be...LOUD! Griffin has played his
songs to favorable reception coast to coast, and his and Loar's dynamic act will blow the room up. The
pair has been playing together off and on for more than 5 years, and their interplay is amazing.
Midnite--The Foghorns--Led by the internationally known singer/writer Bart Cameron, the Foghorns play a blend of folk and honky-tonk with a healthy dose of the blues mixed in. Featuring Australian violinist Marissa Allen, and a rhythm section, the Foghorns are fresh from their appearance at Iceland's Airwaves Festival, and are bound to impress.

STICKY FINGERS
An evening of queers running the stage art gamut: dance punk, spoken word, electro rock, multimedia, & performance art
Featuring: Marla Hooch, Athens Boys Choir, LotSix, & Chavisa Woods
Marla Hooch
Marla Hooch is post-riot grrl dance punk, guaranteed to make onlookers dance their asses off in a sweaty, drunken frenzy. The sound defies latitude and longitude - a booty shaking tom-to-snare, drum-to-high hat Detroit grind. Get ready: when you hear the snare start up, it’s time to grab a couple bottles of Colt 45, strip down to your booty shorts, and get the party started. The band has played the New York local scene, the West coast, and plans to tour the East coast in winter ’07 on the way to Atlanta’s Ladyfest South. (photo by Ricky Powell)
"In his future tense chapbook 'Don't Take Your Life', … Clorox Girls leadman Justin Maurer mentions that his little sister, Jenny, once had a habit of absconding with girls he liked and doin' it with 'em. That was before she started an all-girl, queer dance punk band Marla Hooch, in which she delivers suggestively bending, drawn-out guitar leads during songs like 'Show Me How (to Talk Dirty)'. Hooch also features that blown-amp bass sound characteristic of Brooklyn bands that get your feet moving. I have a feeling that half of my friends who currently have a crush on Justin might soon shift their collective swoon to a new Maurer." Jason Simms, Portland Mercury
"They may wear costumes, but these girls aren't fooling around. Lock the wink wink of Ween, the abandon of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the sex of Peaches, and the catchiness of the fucking Shangri-Las into a room and have Joan Jett's cover of 'Bad Reputation' blasting, and you begin to understand what a Hooch show is like. If you like to get drunk, sweaty, and laid, Marla Hooch is pretty much your wet dream." Christen Thomas, Vice Magazine

Athens Boys Choir
Ok, the name Athens Boys Choir can be a bit deceiving, but you can’t blame a Transsexual man living in the Deep South for having a sense of humor about the whole ordeal. So Katz, the Choir’s now solo member, travels the country speaking “the good word”, throwing down hard hitting spoken word that deals with issues of Gender, Politics, Love, Sex, and everything in-between, including, but not limited to, spooning. Katz’s spoken word is raw, unapologetic, witty, and soulful.
“Katz avoids falling into the common spoken-word trap…and instead uses engaging wordplay, razor-sharp wit, and hip-hop rhythms.” Out Magazine, 2006
“No one since Ani Difrance has taken the power of the English language and put it to such good use.” Young Gay American Magazine, Feb/Mar 2005
“With apologies to Alix Olson, spoken word has never been quite this good.” Curve, Nov 2004

LotSix
LotSix is a queer Philadelphia based electro rock multimedia performance artist who jokingly refers to her unique art as "self-karaoke": live singing to original prerecorded music with projected images and lyrics. LotSix treats audiences with smart, funny, danceable, electro rock songs accompanied by visuals further conveying the many dimensions of her angsty wry humor. (photo credit J.J. Tiziou)
"LotSix gets it! Darlene, all the ex's you love to hate, the undercover sexual innuendo, what's not to like? Lot is witty and her music is unique and memorable. LotSix, you want to be her, fuck her, fucking be her." Katz, Athens Boys Choir
"LotSix is the rockingest sexy nerd you're likely to meet in this lifetime. She's got a hunger for pleasuring her geeky fans nationwide and an ear for catchy tunes. In fact, I've had a LotSix song in my head for 66 hours and counting. "You and me baby we lie on the XY plane" ...and I couldn't be happier about it." Val Obstruction, House of the Future
Chavisa Woods
“No One Is Ever Going To Touch You Like This”
A spoken word extravaganza featuring mutilation, deconstruction, and ohhh yes.... Story telling w/ lemon juice in the wounds. Also featuring Mistress Clarissa and a short Film by Phoebe Morris.
Chavisa Woods is a writer, poet,
spoken word & performance artist now based in Manhattan. Before moving to Manhattan, Chavisa was active in art, activism, and theater groups such as PSI, C.A.M.P. (Community Arts and Media Project), and the St. Louis Shakespeare Company. For the past three and a half years, she has worked as an editor, coordinator and fundraiser for Tribes Magazine, based in the lower east side of Manhattan. In 2004, Chavisa hosted a reading workshop at Tribes gallery and in 2005 she was the founder and host of the "Check your Bit" open mic and reading series in Hudson, NY. She is currently active in several literary and performance programs in and around NYC, and collaborating abroad, utilizing video and text with a multimedia artist based in Bilbao, Spain.
